3. Online: Notification That the Requested Archival Records Are Available

Despite indicating a preferred date for your visit, the waiting time may vary depending on the collection concerned and the condition of the archival materials. In particular, records from the Older Holdings (pre-1806 records) generally require a longer lead time, as they must undergo a conservation assessment before they can be made available.As soon as the requested archival materials are actually available in the Reading Room, you will be notified both by e-mail and through the status information in your user account.

Please do not visit the Reading Room until you have received confirmation that the requested records are available. Otherwise, the materials may not yet be ready for consultation, and your visit may unfortunately be unsuccessful.
